Overview

As a key member of our Finance team, you will help shape Wakam’s financial strategy and operational framework, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure financial practices align with business goals.

• Responsible for UK regulatory and statutory financial statements.
• Manage accounts and explain variances between budget and actual.
• Oversee the year-end process and preparation of financial statements.
• Act as the key contact for Auditors and Investment Managers.
• Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Support the UK CFO in financial results and statements preparation.
• Transform and improve processes for efficiency.
• Support Treasury Management aspects.
• Document processes to minimize key person dependencies.

Requirements

• Qualified ACA or equivalent with insurance industry experience.
• Operational experience with UK GAAP and Solvency II.
• Experience in leadership roles at UK insurance companies.
• Strong knowledge of financial controls and regulations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in financial management including budgeting and forecasting.
• Ability to work collaboratively across diverse global organizations.
