Claims Processor - Remote

Overview

As a Claims Processor, you will be responsible for reviewing claim submissions to determine coverage as they align with applicable policy agreements, verifying automated claim items, and managing the claims process through to reimbursement or transfer to our insurance team.

In Short

• Administer intake of Wellness and Insurance claims in our systems.
• Fully adjudicate Wellness claim items from intake to reimbursement.
• Interact with pet parents and clinic staff as needed.
• Work out of a shared queue to prioritize customer claim inquiries.
• Collaborate across all internal departments on claim related initiatives.
• Engage in developmental improvement from quality assurance feedback.
• Gather customer feedback for product and process improvements.
• Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• Prior veterinary medical experience and knowledge of terminology.
• Insurance licensing and claim adjudication experience is advantageous.
• Ability to seek solutions independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Suite and claims software.
• Success in cross-team collaboration.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage schedules.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivated critical thinker.
• Willingness to work with changing priorities.
