Overview

The Voter Participation Center (VPC) is seeking a Director of Human Resources and Board Relations to manage various HR functions and support board relations.

In Short

  • Manage interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training initiatives.
  • Oversee benefits administration and employee relations.
  • Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Assist in managing board relations and prepare for board meetings.
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic HR issues.
  • Execute tasks related to employee recruitment and onboarding.
  • Provide support for employee engagement initiatives.
  • Help track organizational contracts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Five years of experience in HR, administration, or operations.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Experience with HR information systems.
  • Strong judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to provide strategic guidance.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Commitment to deadlines.
  • Experience in a nonprofit organization is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
