Medication Access Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Medication Access Specialist will provide medication access and affordability services to clients and their patients, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of services.

In Short

• Review medication authorizations submitted by clients.
• Perform actions based on client and patient needs.
• Identify patient assistance programs to reduce financial burdens.
• Communicate determinations with patients.
• Document services in clients’ EMR systems.
• Support training of client-employed medication access specialists.
• Collaborate with team members for process improvement.
• Assist clients in improving pharmacy workflows.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in healthcare or pharmacy.
• Experience with electronic medical record documentation.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding is preferred.
• State Board of Pharmacy Technician registration within 6 months of hire.
