Medication Access Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Medication Access Specialist will provide medication access and affordability services to clients and their patients, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and improving clinical workflows.

In Short

• Review medication authorizations submitted by clients.
• Perform benefits investigation reviews to determine patient coverage.
• Identify patient assistance programs to reduce financial burdens.
• Communicate determinations and follow-up with patients.
• Document services provided in clients’ EMR systems.
• Support onboarding and training of medication access specialists.
• Collaborate with team members for operational insights.
• Assist in improving clinical staff workflows.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of experience in healthcare or pharmacy.
• Preferred experience in consulting or client-facing roles.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records and prior authorization workflows.
• Experience with CoverMyMeds® and healthcare revenue cycle.
• Knowledge of Medicare and third-party payer regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
