Staff Systems Engineer - Developer Experience - Remote

Overview

The Staff Systems Engineer in the Developer Experience group will be responsible for engineering and supporting various technologies and tools to provide the best Developer experience for Visa’s Development community.

In Short

• Engineer vendor products to Visa’s environment.
• Create implementation procedures using automation tools.
• Setup and maintain K8s or VM environments.
• Assess need for third-party integrations.
• Partner with internal departments for compliance.
• Interact with vendors for product feedback.
• Perform regular housekeeping on tools.
• Create standards for platform usage.
• Support ongoing Developer Tools projects.
• Participate in L3 on-call support rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant work experience or equivalent education.
• 4/5+ years in a DevOps or related role.
• Good knowledge of GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD tools.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proficient in at least one programming language.
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Splunk and Datadog.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a global team setting.
