Senior Cybersecurity Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will join the Identity Engineering team at Pismo, focusing on designing, building, and operating secure identity and authorization foundations for financial workloads.

In Short

• Design and implement identity and authorization platforms.
• Define authentication patterns based on OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
• Support API security using API Gateway technologies like Kong.
• Collaborate with engineering teams for secure identity integration.
• Build infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Secure Kubernetes-based workloads.
• Contribute to cloud architecture decisions with a security focus.
• Participate in security reviews and threat modeling.

Requirements

• 6+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• Experience securing API Gateway platforms, particularly Kong.
• Expertise in identity and service-to-service security.
• Hands-on experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
• Understanding of API security controls at the gateway layer.
• Experience securing Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Ability to perform security assessments and threat modeling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for conveying security risks.
