Overview

The Senior Data Engineer at Visa will work on scalable, secure, and reliable Platform-as-a-Service offerings, utilizing open-source solutions and container orchestration technologies.

In Short

• Work on Platform-as-a-Service offerings.
• Build and manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
• Ensure high availability of Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Design and implement Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs).
• Develop and deploy high performance code.
• Collaborate with leads and project managers to implement features.
• Debug and troubleshoot data platform services.
• Maintain documentation for the platform.
• Position allows for partial telecommuting.
• Position reports to the Foster City office.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience with Golang, Java, Scala, C++, or Python.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
• Understanding of Linux systems.
• Familiarity with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of CICD tools like Jenkins and ArgoCD.
• Experience with cluster observation tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Automation experience with Ansible.
• File system management knowledge.
