Data Engineer Intern - Remote

Overview

As Virtuagym keeps on growing, we are now looking for a new face to complement our Data team. As a Data Engineer Intern in our Data team, you will be responsible for supporting one of our awesome innovations in which we are using the data generated by millions of app-users. Will you join us in our quest to create a healthier and happier world?

In Short

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, databases, and data processing systems.
• Use SQL, Python, or other programming languages to manipulate and analyze data.
• Improve data features using Object-Oriented programming.
• Communicate with stakeholders to bridge technical implementation and business operations.
• Create value from data generated by employees and clients.
• Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Translate complex datasets into actionable business insights.
• Use BI software to create visualizations.
• Implement data governance and privacy standards.
• Work closely with departments to optimize data usage.

Requirements

• (Currently pursuing) a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields.
• Understanding of data structures, databases, and SQL.
• Comfortable with object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with BI concepts and the data life cycle.
• Full English working proficiency.
• Strong problem-solving mindset.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy.
• Available for a full-time internship for at least 5 months.
• Excited to live and learn in Amsterdam.
• Interest in health and wellness is a plus.
