Overview

Virta is an online specialty medical clinic that reverses type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, and obesity safely and sustainably without the risks, costs, or side effects of medications or surgery. Our innovations in the application of nutritional biochemistry, data science, and digital tools--combined with our clinical expertise--are shifting the diabetes treatment paradigm from management to reversal.

In Short

• Build and manage a team of 10-15 part-time nurses.
• Conduct clinical intake visits with patients via video/phone.
• Educate patients about Virta’s treatment.
• Manage QA/QI, supervision, and scheduling.
• Provide updates to clinical intake workflow.
• Deliver feedback and conduct weekly team meetings.
• Commit to high-quality patient care.
• Work with Head of Nursing on quality initiatives.
• Occasional travel to team events.
• Support team cohesion and rapport.

Requirements

• Active RN license in a Nursing Compact state.
• Minimum 2 years experience with diabetes patients.
• 3+ years managing nurses in a clinical setting.
• Interest in diabetes care and low carbohydrate nutrition.
• Telehealth experience preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor's RN Nursing degree.
• Outstanding bedside manner.
• Team player with a growth mindset.
