In Short

• Must be available for at least one (1) ~ rotation OCONUS annually, plus additional training/screening events.
• Practice acute care surgery in austere and limited resource environments.
• Work with other members of a small team, perform examinations, make diagnoses and treat or prescribe a course of treatment and surgery.
• Provide consultation and advice to patients and customers as the surgical subject matter expert.
• Perform required surgery.
• Conduct and supervise direct patient care, including surgical critical care and damage control surgical interventions.
• Supervise other nursing and support personnel during resuscitation, perioperative and post-operative phases of care.
• Document care provided and complete medical records in accordance with VIGILINT policy.
• Plan and may conduct Critical Care Air Transport (CCAT) missions for ICU level patients.
• Based on qualifications and experience, may function in a leadership position.
