Project Coordinator - Remote

Overview

VetsEZ is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This person will support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Health Middleware and Data Management (HMDM) contract. The Project Coordinator is responsible for tracking, managing, and ensuring timely submission of all contract deliverables in compliance with client agreements and internal standards. This role serves as the central point of contact between internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure contractual obligations are met, properly documented, and archived.

• Assist team leads in planning, executing, and closing projects
• Track timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and milestones
• Maintain detailed project schedules using tools like Jira, MS SharePoint, MS Office applications
• Own the team onboarding process
• Coordinate with team leaders and development, operations, and security staff
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure version control
• Facilitate communication between business users and technical teams
• Monitor and log project risks and issues
• Prepare meeting agendas and status reports

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business Administration, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in Information Technology related projects
• Familiarity with government contracting and compliance standards
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, MS Teams, ServiceNow, and GitHub
• Knowledge of formal delivery methodologies SAFe, Agile, Scrum
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
• Deadline-driven and proactive
• Experience in Healthcare IT a plus
