Overview

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Inspector - Rail and Transit to join our team! In this role, you will work on premier infrastructure projects that improve commuter and intercity services.

In Short

• Perform daily site inspections of excavation and shaft activities.
• Verify excavation practices align with design requirements.
• Enforce safety standards on-site, ensuring compliance with OSHA protocols.
• Inspect materials and equipment for compliance with quality standards.
• Document and report deviations or deficiencies.
• Maintain detailed records of daily work activities.
• Provide regular reports on project progress and issues encountered.
• Work closely with construction supervisors and engineers.
• Coordinate contractor, subs, and stakeholder field operations.
• Ensure contractors follow site-specific safety plans.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction.
• On-site presence required 100% of the time.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience with Mega Projects in the Rail and Transit industry.
• Tunneling experience is a plus.
• Ability to work with multiple partners and clients.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to identify and report safety hazards.
• Experience in project management.
• No security clearance required.
