Construction Inspector - Remote

Overview

BETA Group is seeking a Construction Inspector to join the team! This individual will be the on-site construction representative to observe and ensure compliance with design plans, specifications, and project/contract terms.

In Short

• Liaison between client, project manager, operations, and contractors to achieve successful project completion
• Reviews construction specifications and prepares observation reports
• Provides oversight and ensures compliance with contract plans and specifications
• Administers the scope, schedule, and budget for construction projects
• Tracks, evaluates, and communicates on construction project progress
• Provides monitoring and daily onsite inspections for projects
• Interprets project plans and specifications
• Collaborates with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors
• Develops sketches of on-site conditions
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 5+ years of practical construction experience
• Ability to understand/interpret design and construction documents
• Strong technical aptitude with eagerness to learn
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Able to prepare and maintain field reporting documentation
• Proficient in Microsoft applications
• Must be able to perform field work in various weather conditions
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Willing to travel within New England
