Senior Stormwater/Civil Project Engineer - Remote

Overview

BETA is seeking for an experienced Senior Stormwater/Civil Project Engineer to support our Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, Civil Site, and Water Resources Team. The position will interact with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals in the New England area and will provide leadership and client development specifically in water resources engineering, watershed planning, construction management, civil infrastructure design, and permitting.

In Short

• Perform, manage, and oversee engineering on stormwater planning and design projects
• Technical design lead on concurrent projects
• Recommend solutions to engineering issues
• Manage projects including scope, budget and schedules for detailed engineering planning, design, review and contract documents
• Provide responsive client service through strong and prompt communication
• Lead/Mentor young professionals
• Perform business development and manage project pursuits
• Collaborate across internal disciplines and office locations
• Properly scope, schedule and budget assignments/projects
• Lead team, client and public meetings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) License
• 12 to 15+ years of related engineering experience in water resources and/or stormwater projects
• Demonstrated strong background in environmental engineering and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling with software programs
• Project Management experience
• Knowledge of and experience with the implementation of MS4 and other NPDES programs
• Skilled in writing and ability to prepare formal reports
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil3D and ArcGIS/Pro experience
• Must be able to collect field data and measurements including but not limited to roadway, sidewalk, and utility assets; and perform asset inspections
• Must be able to lift/move objects weighing up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to perform field work in both hot and cold weather (rain and/or snow)
• Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
