Senior Water/Wastewater Project Engineer - Remote

Overview

BETA is seeking for an experienced Senior Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join our team. The position will interact with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals in the New England area and will provide leadership and client development specifically in water and wastewater engineering, construction management, civil infrastructure design, and permitting.

In Short

• Perform, manage, and oversee engineering on water and wastewater planning and design projects
• Technical design lead on concurrent projects
• Recommend solutions to engineering issues
• Manage projects including scope, budget and schedules for detailed engineering planning, design, review and contract documents
• Provide responsive client service through strong and prompt communication
• Mentor younger staff to enhance their knowledge and advance their career development
• Perform business development and manage project pursuits
• Collaborate across internal disciplines and office locations
• Lead team, client and public meetings
• Continue to broaden technical skills within the chosen discipline

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) License
• 12 to 15 years of related engineering experience in water and wastewater projects
• Strong background in environmental engineering and hydraulic modeling
• Project Management experience
• Knowledge of and experience with planning, design, bidding and construction oversight of water and wastewater projects
• Skilled in writing and ability to prepare formal reports
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Must be able to collect field data and measurements
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
