Senior Systems Engineer (IT) - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Systems Engineer (IT) at Valimail, you will own the Build side of our IT team, focusing on creating, designing, and maintaining clean, scalable, and secure systems.

In Short

• Design, build, and maintain scalable systems with a focus on automation and security.
• Respond to and resolve support tickets with an emphasis on customer satisfaction and follow-through.
• Leverage tools like Okta Workflows and scripting to streamline processes and reduce manual tasks.
• Manage and improve onboarding/offboarding processes for new and departing employees.
• Conduct and support monthly security and compliance tasks.
• Enhance and ensure IT systems align with security requirements.
• Reverse engineer and optimize existing IT systems.
• Collaborate with the IT and Security team to identify areas for improvement.
• Document all systems, architecture, and processes.
• Plan and lead projects such as upgrades and migrations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role.
• Deep knowledge of macOS, Kandji, Okta, Jira, Slack, and Google Workspace.
• Proven ability to design and implement automated workflows.
• Strong analytical skills with an obsession for detail.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated and values-aligned.
• A proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
