Overview

The Chemicals Supplier Engagement Specialist will lead engagement with specialty chemical and raw material suppliers to ensure high-quality quotes for buyers on Valdera’s procurement platform.

• Manage high volume of Requests for Quotes (RFQs) for buyers.
• Assess supplier landscape for appropriate material sourcing.
• Engage with new suppliers to secure competitive quotes.
• Facilitate communication between suppliers and buyers.
• Validate quality and accuracy of quotes and data.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing suppliers.
• Onboard new suppliers onto the Valdera platform.
• Maintain documentation of supplier communications and sourcing activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the chemical industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or natural science.
• 5+ years in sourcing, technical sales, or business development.
• Ability to conduct supply market assessments.
• Knowledge of chemicals and technical expertise in reviewing RFQs.
• Experience in managing supplier relationships.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
