Senior Analyst, Payments - Remote

Overview

Upwork is the world’s largest work marketplace, connecting businesses with highly skilled professionals worldwide. The Payments Analytics team is looking for a senior analyst to drive measurement of our payments and tax platform initiatives, optimizing workflows and providing insights.

In Short

• Analyze A/B tests using SQL, Python, R and/or other tools.
• Become the authority on user behavior for our payments platform.
• Define metrics for team success and track progress.
• Present insights in key meetings with product leadership.
• Tackle complex marketplace problems to drive product strategy.
• Deep dive into unit economics of payments processes.
• Work on strategic payments processes and vendor projects.

Requirements

• Ability to drive analytics projects end-to-end.
• Passion for detail-oriented work.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with A/B testing and causal inference.
• Proficiency in BI tools like Looker or Tableau.
• Proficiency in Python or R is a plus.
• Experience in a marketplace or ecommerce business.
• Experience in fintech or payments platforms.
