Overview

The Senior Payments Analyst plays a pivotal role within the Payments team, ensuring the safety and efficiency of transaction processing while minimizing risk. This role entails close collaboration with the Customer Success team to address escalated issues related to financial and reputational risks. By monitoring transaction trends and identifying potentially harmful activities, the Senior Payments Analyst safeguards the organization and its clients. Additionally, this role contributes to team development through training initiatives and strategic risk management practices.

In Short

  • Triage, resolve and communicate high profile and/or time-sensitive escalations.
  • Expert support for advanced risk escalations and fraudulent activity.
  • Act as escalation liaison with internal partners.
  • Investigate and resolve payment processing issues.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive operational efficiencies.
  • Support ongoing compliance requirements.
  • Assist in training development for the Payments team.
  • Ensure internal procedures are documented and updated.
  • Perform other duties as required by Leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in FinTech or Payments.
  • Strong knowledge of payment regulations and compliance.
  • Proficiency in office productivity tools and communication platforms.
  • Proven experience with quality assurance and training.
  • Payment Industry Certifications such as ACAMS, APRP, and CPP.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to influence, collaborate, and build relationships.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and business awareness.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to work independently or in teams.
