Overview

As a Senior or Principal Database Engineer at Upstart, you will own the architecture, tooling, maintenance, and performance optimizations of our production database systems built on Postgres technology.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a Senior Database Engineer/DBA.
• Advanced knowledge of data modeling techniques.
• Strong experience with SQL optimization.
• Familiarity with Postgres scalability solutions.
• Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, EBS, S3, RDS).
• Comfortable in high-compliance environments.
• Relevant technical skills in scripting and Unix.
• Experience in mentoring and collaboration.
• Ability to guide design discussions.
• Level of position depends on total experience.
