Overview

The Head of Marketing will be responsible for influencing and leading the execution of Upbound’s marketing strategy. This individual will play a critical role in shaping our brand, driving demand generation, and positioning Upbound as leader in the cloud platform ecosystem. You will be responsible for working closely with the GTM team to help drive awareness and introduce Upbound’s products to new prospects, cater to a technical audience of technical buyers and developers, and ultimately be responsible for building our customer pipeline on our way to hitting our revenue goals. This person will report directly to the CEO.

  • Help develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with Upbound.io’s business goals.
  • Lead and mentor a growing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Build a team to meet the demands of the business as the company scales and grows.
  • Own Developer Advocacy strategy and team management.
  • Refine and enhance Upbound’s brand positioning and messaging to resonate with technical audiences.
  • Design and implement multi-channel campaigns to drive awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality content, including blog posts, whitepapers, and webinars.
  • Build and manage co-marketing initiatives with partners in the cloud ecosystem.
  • Work closely with product teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new features.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven track record of successfully marketing enterprise technology solutions.
  • Deep understanding of B2B marketing strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with open-source technologies and developer communities is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with marketing tools.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Benefits
