Overview

The Patient Services Coordinator (PSC) is responsible for being the first contact representative for the Women and Infants Service Line, ensuring a positive experience for visitors and families in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

In Short

  • Meet and greet visitors and families in the NICU.
  • Provide excellent customer service and phone etiquette.
  • Communicate regularly with nursing staff.
  • Monitor access to the Maternal/Infant Division.
  • Utilize the EMR system and basic computer skills.
  • Assist with patient admissions and discharges.
  • Maintain cleanliness and stocking of family areas.
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed.
  • Handle equipment and supply management.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED plus 1 year of administrative experience.
  • Ability to follow oral instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word.
  • Experience in customer service or related field.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must have proof of legal authority to work in the USA.
  • Pass pre-employment screenings (background check, drug testing).
