Certified Procedural Coding Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Certified Procedural Coding Specialist works under supervision to read and interpret health record documentation to identify all diagnoses and procedures affecting outpatient encounters.

• Requires understanding of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Must hold one of the following certifications: CCA, CCS, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA.
• Responsibilities include assessing health record documentation.
• Maintains understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding systems.
• Organizes work to review and prioritize assigned work queues.
• Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma/GED.
• Preferred qualifications include an Associate's or Bachelor's in Health Information Management.
• Two years of coding experience preferred.
