Overview

The Access Coordinator III acts as a patient resource for all scheduling and billing questions, facilitating comprehensive patient data collection, timely and accurate billing, and prompt collections of payment for services rendered.

In Short

  • Coordinate patient scheduling and billing inquiries.
  • Perform duties of Access Coordinator I & II.
  • Conduct pre-registration and update patient information.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and conflicts.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the waiting area.
  • Process walk-ins and create new patient charts.
  • Handle inventory and order supplies.
  • Complete ABN and schedule surgeries/tests.
  • Issue school/work excuses and manage patient communications.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of experience in customer service or healthcare.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Good communication and computer skills.
  • Experience with registration, billing, or scheduling preferred.
