Overview

The Improvement Consultant plays a critical role in driving performance improvement and operational excellence across UHN. This role leverages Lean Six Sigma methodology, utilizes data-driven insights, and partners with clinical teams to identify opportunities for quality improvement (QI) to improve patient outcomes, quality of care, and system efficiency.

In Short

  • Lead clinical teams in applying Lean Six Sigma methodology.
  • Manage end-to-end process improvement projects.
  • Utilize data analytics to assess performance and visualize findings.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops.
  • Support the UHN Lean Six Sigma Community of Practice.
  • Engage stakeholders and drive adoption of new processes.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations summarizing project outcomes.
  • Build positive relationships with project stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in care delivery.
  • Utilize change management strategies to sustain improvements.

Requirements

  • Undergrad Degree in Health Science/Informatics/Administration or related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent data analysis skills.
  • Experience supporting large-scale initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading improvement projects.
  • Ability to develop educational materials and facilitate training.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools.
