Overview

The Director of Finance provides strategic financial leadership and oversight for all accounting, budgeting and financial reporting functions. This role is pivotal in aligning financial operations with the organization’s mission and long-term goals, ensuring fiscal integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency.

• Oversees all accounting, general ledger, and reporting systems.
• Maintains internal controls and safeguards for revenue and expenditures.
• Prepares monthly financial statements and communicates critical financial matters.
• Provides monthly budget reports to program leaders.
• Manages contracts management and compliance.
• Prepares weekly cash flow forecasts.
• Coordinates and leads the annual audit process.
• Implements improvements in accounting processes.
• Strengthens internal communications within the finance team.
• Evaluates financial risks and opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in accounting required; CPA License preferred.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in non-profit accounting.
• Minimum of five years demonstrated supervisory experience.
• Experience with nonprofit accounting software.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
