Director of Finance - Remote

Overview

The Director of Finance will be a strategic thought-partner, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and will lead the development of the internal team to support finance, business planning, budgeting, and human resources functions.

• Manage and oversee accounting and finance functions for ACMG and ACMGF.
• Monitor finances and prepare financial statements for the Board of Directors.
• Supervise staff accountants and oversee procurement processes.
• Manage annual audit processes and support preparation of 990s.
• Oversee daily banking requirements and respond to staff inquiries about financial results.
• Collaborate with other departments to support program activities.
• Prepare Foundation grant and contract applications with budget creation.
• Maintain active participation in financial industry events.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
• Train staff accountants on accounting policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required; CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in nonprofit finance.
• Experience with government contracts and OMB compliance preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting and budget tracking.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks Online required.
• Knowledge of HRIS and government software programs preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and customer service commitment.
• Ability to maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
