Director of Finance - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead our financial reporting and oversee tax, payroll, and accounts payables.

In Short

• Lead controllership function ensuring accuracy of US GAAP financial statements.
• Manage preparation of internal and external financial reports.
• Collaborate with external auditors for financial statement audits.
• Design and maintain effective internal controls.
• Lead process improvements for Finance team efficiency.
• Prepare budget variance reporting and assist in budgeting process.
• Oversee accounts payable for timely vendor payments.
• Ensure multi-country tax compliance with external tax partners.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure accurate payroll records.
• 6+ years of experience in accounting and financial analysis required.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing financial statements and audits.
• Understanding of Canadian and US corporate tax requirements.
• Experience in specialty finance, fintech, e-commerce, or SaaS preferred.
• CPA title desired.
