211 Contact Center Specialist - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a patient, empathetic person to serve as a member of the team providing information and referrals to youth and adults seeking assistance via 211’s 24/7 call centers, showing compassion for callers as you assist them in accessing basic needs services such as rental, food, and utility assistance.

In Short

• Field calls, chats, and texts providing information and referrals.
• Provide problem-solving support to callers with complex needs.
• Document communications for continuity and follow-up.
• Work with local social service agencies to identify gaps.
• Serve as the first line of help to those in crisis.
• Link callers with mobile crisis staff or emergency services as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of HS diploma (or GED); A.S. or B.A./B.S. preferred.
• Experience in crisis intervention or human services.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Compassionate and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 environment.
