Our aim is to hire this position to work in Umbra's Santa Barbara, CA or Arlington, VA office. However, we are open to considering Remote applicants.

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Manager to lead cross-functional infrastructure teams in building and maintaining the reliable, scalable systems that power our core business operations.

In Short

  • Lead 3 specialized teams (SRE, CI/CD, and Platform Engineering) with approximately 5 direct reports.
  • Partner with the Director of Site Reliability Engineering to develop strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure effective communication and alignment between teams.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering teams and Security teams.
  • Set and track clear objectives for individual and team development.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members.
  • Oversee the hiring process for the cloud infrastructure teams.
  • Facilitate efficient team execution and project delivery.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and work towards continuous improvement.
