Overview

We’re looking for an Infrastructure Engineering Manager to lead the charge on performance, reliability, and internal tools at ReadMe! You’ll manage a team responsible for making sure our site is fast, stable, and scales beautifully, while also empowering our developers with the tools they need to build their best work.

In Short

  • Lead a team that designs and builds infrastructure and tooling to ensure data storage is fast, reliable, and secure.
  • Help expand the tooling for our observability platform.
  • Add features to Deploybert — our internal automation system.
  • Communicate ideas around infrastructure design.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and teams.
  • Experienced Engineering Manager with server-side software development.
  • Comfortable designing production infrastructure.
  • Passionate about product development.
  • Involved in planning meetings for upcoming features.
  • Guide internal initiatives for technical improvements.

Requirements

  • Experience with Node.js or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with AWS and Cloudflare.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform (bonus).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Passion for creating user-friendly products.
  • Experience in observability and logging.
  • Ability to review code and apply best practices.
  • Interest in continuous learning and improvement.
  • Willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
