Overview

Join Umbra as a Spacecraft Operator and become an integral part of our dynamic Space Operations team! You'll play a crucial role in the on-orbit commanding, controlling, monitoring, and tasking of our expanding constellation of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites.

In Short

• Monitor, operate, and maintain a constellation of on-orbit satellites
• Support the development and execution of mission plans and on-orbit CONOPS
• Develop and improve automated workflows for operations and analysis
• Support tasking operation and optimization
• Assist in spacecraft modeling, simulation, and systems engineering analyses
• Define and complete high-level tasks with limited oversight
• Ad hoc tasking of satellites for new modes of operation
• Monitor and improve satellite imagery and products
• Support off-hour operations independently
• Other professional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to work off-hours shifts, including nights and weekends
• Strong communication skills
• Team player with problem-solving skills
• Experience in satellite operations or related fields
• Knowledge of mission planning and systems engineering
