Project Manager - Remote

Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for fostering teams to develop, submit, and maintain research proposals at the UBC Centre for Disease Control (UBC CDC), coordinating grant activities and supporting investigators.

• Manage and coordinate research grant proposals.
• Support Principal Investigators and project teams.
• Identify funding opportunities and organize proposal discussions.
• Establish budgets and ensure compliance with policies.
• Monitor project progress and manage reporting requirements.
• Coordinate research progress and close-out reports.
• Assist with recruitment and hiring of research staff.
• Support knowledge translation activities and events.
• Work independently and collaborate with diverse teams.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of three years of related experience.
• Project management experience required.
• Experience in a research and/or health environment.
• Knowledge of funding landscape and grant administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Commitment to enhancing awareness of equity and diversity.
• Experience with CIHR and other grant applications preferred.
