Overview

The Digital Field Service Engineer at Alcon is responsible for ensuring that Alcon equipment at customer sites operates effectively, providing troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair services, as well as managing installations and upgrades.

In Short

• Ensure Alcon equipment functions effectively at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and manage installations.
• Coordinate with customer IT and commercial teams.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
• Manage daily schedules and communications.
• Assist Sales and Clinical teams as needed.
• Promote service contract offerings to customers.
• Travel for business needs, including overnight stays.
• Work independently from home and in the field.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong networking and mechanical background.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, SharePoint.
• Bachelor’s Degree in IT/electronics preferred.
• Field service experience with medical devices.
• Proven technical support skills.
