Director of Commercial Project Management - Remote

Overview

This Director-level role will serve as a key strategic leader, overseeing all aspects of project management, coordination, and implementation for critical commercial programs, including antibody discovery, antibody optimization, antibody expression and purification, site saturation variant libraries, combinatorial variant libraries, and other related SynBio/Biopharma businesses.

In Short

• Lead and develop two Project Management Managers, setting clear priorities and performance expectations.
• Provide strategic oversight of the project management function to support Sales and revenue goals.
• Act as the senior escalation point for high-value, complex customer projects.
• Oversee critical project phases including feasibility, scoping, and execution.
• Align project priorities, capacity, timelines, and budgets with Sales targets.
• Partner with operations leadership and scientific teams to resolve complex issues.
• Deliver concise project and forecast updates to key stakeholders.
• Maintain a high-level view of project pipeline and reporting status.
• Define and track key project and commercial metrics.
• Support Sales enablement through strategic input on proposals and customer engagements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive project management experience in life sciences or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field required; advanced degree is a plus.
• Demonstrated strategic ability in managing the entire customer journey.
• Strong commercial understanding of service offerings and customer workflows.
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional track record of managing large-scale, complex projects.
• Exceptional leadership and executive-level communication skills.
• A proactive, high-energy, and positive attitude with a strategic mindset.
