Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Senior Accountant will play a vital role in Turnitin’s EMEA Accounting Team, responsible for internal and external financial reporting for EMEA entities.

In Short

• Maintenance of general ledger and associated accounting of Turnitin’s EMEA Entities.
• Preparation of monthly journal entries as part of the month end process.
• Support and review of journal entries for various expense postings.
• Preparation of detailed Variance Analysis reports for management review.
• Support and review of monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
• Work with outsourced accounting providers for Statutory Accounts preparation.
• Assist in Year End Audits for EMEA Entities.
• Participate in the development of accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with internal customer support and financial analysis.
• Work with the Tax Team on VAT and Corporate Tax Reporting.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience in a fast-paced environment.
• 2 Years + PQE or relevant experience in International Accounting.
• Experience working with 3rd Party Accounting Providers.
• Advanced Excel skills and exposure to accounting systems (NetSuite preferred).
• Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Self-starter and proactive thinker.
