Director of Accounting Operations - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic Director of Accounting to lead our accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and drive financial efficiency.

In Short

• Oversee the global accounting operations, including GL, Revenue Operations, AP and AR.
• Lead the month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Streamline and improve close timelines and processes.
• Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and government reporting requirements.
• Optimize accounting systems and financial processes for efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams including HR, FP&A, Sales, etc.
• Lead and develop the accounting team; provide training and support to enhance skills and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred).
• Proven experience as a Director of Accounting or in a senior accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
