The Software Engineer is a key player on a development team, using an Agile development model in a fast-paced and innovative environment. The Software Engineer is responsible for developing technical solutions to meet product and customer needs, training new team members, and communicating and collaborating with team members.

Collaborates with other team members within respective Agile squad and Tribe to define and develop technical solutions to meet product and customer needs
Creates and maintains documentation that is easily consumed by others
Improves the development experience at Truckstop by enhancing development tools, test coverage, and code structure
Independently develops, documents, and enhances API endpoints using Node.js or C#, .NET / .NET core, and SQL
Implements code that is clear, concise, tested, and easily understood by others
Responsible for the entire lifecycle of their code: development, test, production, and subsequent fixes and improvements
Independently performs code reviews that follow Truckstop's published standards and practices
Improves the development experience at Truckstop by enhancing development tools, test coverage, and/or code structure

Requirements

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline with minimum 4 years of related experience
Strong understanding of object-oriented principles and software design patterns
Proficient in developing responsive web apps using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
Modern framework knowledge such as Angular is desirable
Experience with C#, Asp.Net / Asp.Net core, Entity framework
Deep functional knowledge or hands-on experience working with Web Services such as REST
Experience writing Ad-Hoc SQL queries, Transactional Queries, and Stored Procedures
Experience integrating apps with RESTful APIs or GraphQL
Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud services a plus
Strong debugging and diagnostic skills
