We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Legal Assistant for Corporate and Securities Law to provide top-tier support to our team. This role combines legal assistance responsibilities with executive administrative duties, requiring someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, and professional. You will assist with various legal and administrative functions, work closely with a local paralegal, and ensure the smooth operation of the office.

In Short

  • Prepare and process billing invoices and ensure timely delivery to clients.
  • Monitor payments and follow up on outstanding invoices with clients and Accounts Payable.
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with clients.
  • Organize and maintain files, records, and correspondence.
  • Draft letters, memos, and other legal documents with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with the local paralegal to prepare case files and legal research.
  • Assist with document preparation, filing, and tracking case progress.
  • Provide general administrative support, including responding to emails and coordinating meetings.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of corporate and securities law is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
