Program Services Audit - Underwriting - Remote

Overview

The Program Services Audit – Underwriting position is responsible for completing underwriting and compliance audits of the company’s program business partners' workers' compensation and commercial lines policies. This includes audit planning and research, testing and analysis, preparing thorough audit reports with appropriate recommendations, and presenting these findings to program partners. Executive parties utilize reports for business decisions, requiring strong professional writing skills.

• Assist with managing underwriting and regulatory aspects of insurance carrier Programs.
• Prioritize and manage an audit schedule and travel budget.
• Conduct pre-audit planning and research.
• Annually perform 10 to 12 audits of new and existing Programs.
• Conduct effective entrance and exit meetings with clients.
• Implement follow-up procedures and management reports for Program compliance.
• Communicate findings to Executive parties in professionally written reports.
• Collaborate with regulatory and compliance staff on rules for various states.
• Support Program partner relationships.
• Contribute to Underwriting Management on guidelines for programs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Insurance Underwriting experience, preferably in workers’ compensation.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Industry designations (ARM, CPCU, CIC or AU) are beneficial.
• Proficient with NCCI, PAAS, or similar tools.
• Understanding of workers’ compensation markets and willingness to learn.
• Internal or External Audit experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• PC proficiency, including MS Office Suite.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
