Claims Adjuster - Remote

Overview

The Claims Adjuster is responsible for managing workers compensation claims and ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

In Short

• Manage new lost time claims and ensure timely communication with all parties.
• Complete claim determinations and payments within required timeframes.
• Establish and document wage information for claims.
• Ensure timely approvals and denials of medical bills.
• Document all communications and decisions in the claims system.
• Manage legal aspects of claims and assign attorneys as needed.
• Direct claims assistants in administrative tasks.
• Monitor claims for reinsurance reporting and updates.
• Establish and update a Plan of Action for each claim.
• Eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2-3 years’ claims experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the insurance industry preferred.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
