Claims Adjuster - Remote

Overview

American Farm Bureau Insurance Services, Inc. (AFBIS, Inc.) is looking for a Claims Adjuster to work remotely in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and the surrounding area. As a member of our Claims Team, you will be responsible for performing loss adjustment, pre-acceptance and quality control activities for Crop Hail and Federally Reinsured Crop Insurance products.

In Short

• Communicating directly and following up with insureds to perform loss adjustments.
• Staying abreast of crop insurance industry procedures.
• Analyzing and making recommendations for enhancements for company software products.
• Performing claim audits and reviews.
• A Bachelor’s degree and/or 2+ years of claims adjusting experience.
• Ability to obtain adjuster certifications and licenses.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Knowledge of Crop Hail and Multi-Peril Insurance Policies.
• Willingness to travel for assignments.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret policy information.
• Knowledge of farming practices and crops.
• Experience in crop insurance claims.
