Overview

In Short

• Provide prompt, courteous and high-quality customer service to all policyholders and claimants.
• Gather necessary information from customers to initiate the claim.
• Manage an inventory of claims and establish initial reserves.
• Coordinate the repair of damaged vehicles.
• Recognize recovery opportunities in regards to subrogation and salvage.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and policy provisions.
• Communicate with involved parties and negotiate settlements.
• Provide input for continuous development of claims guidelines.
• Oversee outside investigative service providers.
• Engage in learning opportunities to build knowledge of personal lines claims.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree. JD, Professional insurance designations strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in various types of liability claims.
• Active adjuster license(s) and willingness to obtain all licenses.
• Knowledge of state regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to analyze and evaluate complex data.
• Curious and motivated by problem solving.
• Desire for continuous professional development.
• Willingness to travel for client and claims needs.
