Grazing Management Program Manager - Remote

Overview

The Grazing Management Program Manager connects TNC’s working ranch projects and partnerships across the western United States to lead a complex regional strategy to demonstrate how community collaboration, technology, and public policy can improve ecological, social, economic outcomes for livestock grazing in Intermountain Rangelands.

In Short

• Lead a program with members from 7 western states.
• Deploy virtual fencing and other technologies on large working ranches.
• Collaborate with partners for effective public land management.
• Track project progress and assist with funding development.

• Work independently and make decisions under minimal supervision.
• Travel approximately 20% of the time.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree and 5 years’ experience in conservation practice.
• Experience managing complex projects and teams.
• Supervisory experience in leading and motivating staff.
• Partnership development with nonprofit and government entities.
• Negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of rangeland management trends.
• Experience with federal or state land management agencies.
