In Short

• Responsible for implementing and maintaining critical database systems (PostgreSQL) for a 24x7 SaaS platform.
• Supports ongoing database ETL, warehousing, reporting, and analytical needs.
• Ensures database design and operations support availability, scalability, and recoverability.
• Performs tuning and capacity management for database performance.
• Guides developers on database development, design principles, and query optimization.
• Ensures infrastructure solutions adhere to security policies.
• Provides on-call coverage for production support.

Requirements

• BS degree in Information Systems, Data Engineering, or equivalent.
• 3+ years experience with relational database administration.
• 3+ years experience with highly-available PostgreSQL databases.
• Proficiency in Linux-based PostgreSQL RDBMS administration.
• Proficiency in data science principles and business intelligence reporting.
• Proficiency in query optimization and indexing.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Experience with .NET database clients using NpgSQL is a plus.
• Proficiency with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code strategies.
• Proficiency with ITIL and/or ITSM principles.
