Overview

TherapyNotes is seeking a Senior Database Site Reliability Engineer to manage PostgreSQL services for a 24x7 SaaS platform, focusing on reliability, performance, and automation.

In Short

• Design, implement, and maintain critical database systems running PostgreSQL.
• Define and improve database service reliability through monitoring and metrics.
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for production events.
• Provide technical guidance to other technology teams.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA security policies.
• Improve database observability using tools like Datadog.
• Automate maintenance tasks using Bash, Python, or Ansible.
• Experience with ETL pipelines using Python is a plus.
• Maintain PostgreSQL ecosystem components.
• Excellent communication skills are required.

Requirements

• BS degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 7-10+ years of experience in Database Engineering or SRE.
• Experience in cloud solutions (Azure & Kubernetes preferred).
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL in a Linux environment is a plus.
• Expertise with observability platforms like Datadog is a plus.
• Experience in Agile/DevOps environments.
