Senior Database Reliability Engineer - Remote

In Short

• Operate, maintain, and enhance PostgreSQL, DocumentDB, and ElastiCache in AWS.
• Support automation of database provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Python.
• Create, manage and maintain the Terraform modules for data infrastructure related components.
• Manage and maintain Apache Airflow.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve database performance.
• Own backup and recovery strategies and manage production upgrades.
• Collaborate with product teams on schema design, queries, and data migrations.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
• Document operational procedures and train internal stakeholders.
• Learn and support Microsoft SQL Server to widen internal capability.

Requirements

• Deep technical ownership and performance tuning of PostgreSQL.
• Experience with DocumentDB and ElastiCache in AWS.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud-native databases with security, HA, and observability.
• Experience with Terraform for automating infrastructure deployment.
• Proficient in Python for scripting automation and monitoring.
• Experience working with Apache Airflow.
