Are you an accomplished leader with a strong background in Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance? At Themis, we are bringing to life our vision of making Governance accessible and easy for everyone, from BaaS to Fintechs to regulated industries and beyond! We are modernizing Governance from antiquated workflows typically run on spreadsheets and emails and building beautiful and intuitive software to make it easier for organizations to adhere to governance requirements and regulations.

What you will contribute

As the Head of Compliance Strategy at Themis, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the compliance strategy for our business. You will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with prospective customers, understanding their needs, and effectively conveying the value proposition of our software solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the expansion of our innovative platform in the governance and risk management space.

In Short

• Work with the CEO to formalize a compliance strategy.
• Assist Sales and Customer Success with implementation and onboarding of new and existing customers.
• Work directly with customers to make sure they get the most out of Themis through training and industry knowledge.
• Create a Themis Advisory Board of thought leaders.
• Facilitate webinars and lead general compliance training as well as Themis training for clients.
• Provide guidance and support to other departments on compliance-related matters.
• Foster a culture of compliance and ethics throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with the product development team to ensure that new products and features meet compliance standards.
• Develop and implement a compliance training program for employees at all levels of the organization.
• Track and report on key compliance metrics to measure the effectiveness of the compliance program.

Requirements

• 6-10 years of GRC experience preferably in banking, financial services or a highly regulated industry.
• Knowledge of ethical practices and standards in the financial services industry.
• Superb verbal and written communication skills with a maniacal attention to detail.
• Ability to independently advance projects with limited oversight and judgment to know when to seek supervision.
