Overview

As a Staff Engineer (gn) - Data & AI Focus, you will help shape our architectural direction, strengthen our engineering foundations, and accelerate the responsible adoption of AI across teams.

In Short

• Provide architectural and technical leadership by driving scalable architectures and long-term improvements.
• Support engineers in designing and implementing high-quality services and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, and other Staff Engineers.
• Evaluate and integrate AI technologies with measurable impact.
• Define best practices for responsible AI adoption.
• Mentor engineers and drive cross-team alignment.

Requirements

• Experience as a Staff Engineer with impact at the department level.
• Extensive experience in modern software engineering and distributed systems.
• Strong architectural thinking and ability to align teams on technical decisions.
• Experience with event-driven systems, microservices, and AWS architectures.
• Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and data quality frameworks.
• Understanding of AI concepts like LLMs and automation patterns.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into existing systems.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
